There’s been a lot of talk about Web 2.0 and how its the next big thing, one thing i’ve got to say is that its the same internet – but only used differently. Its more about interaction between people online rather than just a brouchure-ware website that doesn’t interact with your customers (ok, a mail form.. great. how un-interactive can you get. Do you have time to reply to them? )The technology behind Web 2.0 isn’t anything new, again, its the same thing being used differently, javascript, html and web servers.
The technology side of Web 2.0 is called AJAX, or Asynchronous Javascript And XML – but this term doesn’t mean much as XML isn’t always used, its the Asynchronous part thats the important part, as you can have a site thats just that without javascript using something called IFrames, which you can have parts of your webpage changing without refreshing the entire page.. Which is what AJAX is all about after all!
I’ll be telling you more about different aspects of Web 2.0 and sites that you can use to make your life easier, just browse around on my blog and you will find out more and more information..
